【摘要】:Theglossofmetallicfinishesisimportantcommerciallyonmetalsforautomotive,architectural,andotheruseswherethesemetalsundergospecialfinishingprocessestoproducetheappearancesdesired.Itisimportantfortheend-products,whichusesuchfinishedmetalsthatpartsplacedtogetherhavethesameglossyappearance.Itisalsoimportantthatautomotivefinishesandotherhigh-glossnonmetallicsurfacespossessthedesiredfinishedappearance.Thepresentmethodidentifiesbymeasurementsimportantaspectsoffinishes.Thosehavingidenticalsetsofnumbersnormallyhavethesameglosscharacteristics.Itusuallyrequiresmorethanonemeasurementtoidentifyproperlytheglossyappearanceofanyfinish(seeRefs3and4).1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthemeasurementofthereflectioncharacteristicsresponsiblefortheglossyappearanceofhigh-glosssurfaces.Twotestmethods,AandB,areprovidedforevaluatingsuchsurfacecharacteristicsatspecularanglesof30and20,respectively.Thesetestmethodsarenotsuitablefordiffusefinishsurfacesnordotheymeasurecolor,anotherappearanceattribute.1.2AsoriginallydevelopedbyTingleandothers(seeRefs1and2),178;thetestmethodswereappliedonlytobrightmetals.Recentlytheyhavebeenappliedtohigh-glossautomotivefinishesandothernonmetallicsurfaces.
