【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsandguidanceontheselection,useandmaintenanceofpersonalfallprotectionsystemsandequipmentforuseintheworkplacetopreventand/ortoarrestfallsfromaheight,includingsystemsandequipmentsuitableforuseinrescue.Italsogivesguidanceonrescueofpersonsworkingataheight,intheeventofanaccident.Itisintendedforusebyemployers,employeesandself-employedpersonswhousepersonalfallprotectionsystemsandequipment.Itisalsointendedforusebydesigners,e.g.architectsandstructuralengineers,includingthosewhoareresponsibleforthedesignofsafeaccessroutesonbuildingsandstructures,bythosewhocommissionworkataheight,e.g.buildingownersandcontractors,andbythoseinvolvedintrainingpersonsforworkataheight.Thestandardisnotapplicabletocollectivefallprotectionsystems,forexampleworkplatformsandfallarrestnets.Itisnotintendedtoapplytopersonalfallprotectionsystemsandequipmentforuseinleisureactivitiesorinprofessionalorprivatesportsactivities.Itisalsonotintendedtoapplytopersonalfallprotectionsystemsandequipmentforuseinarboriculture.NOTE1AdiscussionofthebasicprinciplesoffallprotectionisgiveninAnnexA.NOTE2RecommendationsandguidanceontheuseofropeaccessmethodsaregiveninBS7985.
