本标准规定了采用低温减压蒸馏测定乳化沥青残留含量的试验方法。
本标准适合于定量测定主要由半固态或液态基质沥青、水、乳化剂组成的乳化沥青的残留物。乳化沥青中通常含有聚合物类物质，在温度为260℃蒸馏时，乳化沥青残留物性质可能会发生变化，因此，本标准尤其适合测定这类乳化沥青的残留物含量。
